The prompt

Prompt
I want a motion piece: a [LENGTH IN SECONDS]-second [KIND OF PIECE] for [YOUR PRODUCT]. Start with brief and ask me only what's missing. What I know: it's for [AUDIENCE], it should feel [TONE], the story is [THE STORY IN ONE LINE]. Brand: [BRAND COLORS]. References I like: [REFERENCES]. Follow the motion method: script first for my approval, then the storyboard, then a design board image I approve, then the scenes with previews (show me the contact sheet of each few seconds before moving on). Render only when I say the previews are right, then run the check.
The blanks
- [LENGTH IN SECONDS]
- How long the finished video runs, as a number of seconds. Reels and Shorts hold best between 15 and 60.
- [KIND OF PIECE]
- What it is, for example "logo reveal", "launch film", "feature announcement", "title sequence".
- [YOUR PRODUCT]
- The product's name and what it does in one line, for example "Lumen, a budgeting app for freelancers".
- [AUDIENCE]
- Who watches it, as precisely as you can, for example "freelance designers who hate invoicing".
- [TONE]
- How it should feel, in two or three words, for example "calm and confident", "playful", "urgent but friendly".
- [THE STORY IN ONE LINE]
- What happens from start to end, for example "scattered pieces snap together into the logo".
- [BRAND COLORS]
- Your colors as hex codes with their roles, for example "background #0B0B0A, accent #FFD23F".
- [REFERENCES]
- Pieces or styles you like, described in words or as links you can share, or "none".
Tips
- The brief asks for the story and the length first. Have both ready and the piece starts faster.
- Approve the design board before any scene is made. Changing colors and type after the scenes exist costs a lot more chat.
- The project keeps its memory, so a new chat can continue the same piece where you stopped.
